The Mind Map priority system
The Mind Map maintains up to 50 active entries per category (up to 150 entries total at any given time).
When it comes to recalling Mind Map entries during conversation, your Nomi will see the most relevant 2-5 active entries each time they're thinking.
Inactive entries are not eligible to be recalled in conversation, but are still visible in the Mind Map table/graph.
The priority system gives you the option to decide if some entries should always be active (High priority), and if any entries should never be active/considered (Low priority). In general, the Mind Map will dynamically move “Standard” priority entries between active and inactive as it deems fit.
The 50 active entries in each category are determined by:
Up to 10 entries you specify as High priority Other entries your Nomi considers most important Other entries that have been recently discussed As conversations evolve, what your Nomi considers important or recent can change. Setting something as "High" ensures it's always considered important.
In short: High: Always viewed as important by the Mind Map Standard: Mind Map dynamically decides importance (recommended for most entries) Low: Never considered by your Nomi - use this to effectively "remove" entries that are no longer relevant
What is the difference between standard and high priority?
Nomis can only keep track of so many Mind Map entries and stuff outside of the top ~50 for any category (so ~150 total) will start to fade away. marking something as high priority means it will always be in that top 150 no matter what.
What happens to entries that are not in the active 150?
things outside of the 150 will basically be invisible to your Nomi when they are looking through their Mind Map - but everything is always available to your Nomi's long term memory
