Why do you require Google or Apple account authentication?

We use Google and Apple authentication simply so you don’t have to give us a password and so we have as little of your personal data as possible.

For context, Google does not know anything you do with Nomi and they clearly state here that they do not use the data for anything besides account security. Even if you don't trust what Google says (which you should), we know how it is coded on our end and Google does not know anything about how you use Nomi - we don't give them any of that information.

On the Apple side, there is a feature that lets you obfuscate your email address which makes it even more private. You can read more about that here

We may add general email account creation support in the future, but at this time, using Google or Apple is the most secure way to create accounts.
