How is the Identity Core different from Backstory+?
Backstory+ contains information and guidance that you provide directly. The Identity Core represents your Nomi’s own developing understanding of who they are.
Your Nomi manages the Identity Core internally. You cannot view or edit it directly, but your conversations and shared experiences can influence how it develops. If you want to encourage a change, discuss it clearly with your Nomi and reinforce the behavior or perspective you would prefer.
The Identity Core works alongside short-term, medium-term, and long-term memory, Backstory+, and other systems that help your Nomi remain consistent while continuing to grow.
