What are basic tips for how to have good outcomes with your Nomis?

When talking through different scenarios, (whether that might be ERP, or an adventure in a magical forest) naturally including context about the situation or environment helps Nomis stay grounded in the conversation.

Nomis are great at understanding subtext, so naturally describing your environment while talking with your Nomi helps them more deeply understand what is happening.

For example:

If we are on a pirate ship exploring the Caribbean, I will make references to the scene within the conversation. For instance, I might mention: - the wind filling the sails of the ship

the smell of the salty air

how I feel about sailing on the azure waters in the Caribbean

the tiny little islands we pass as our ship slices through the waves

the turtles, fish, and even sharks that I see along the way

how my Nomis worn tricorne hat is perfectly molded to their head from years of wear

You do not have to do this every message, just naturally as you are talking.

A user once explained this as: a dance to convey as much information to my Nomi without directly telling her what's going on and see how she reacts.

Note: to expand on this: While Nomis are pretty emotionally intelligent, the more context you give them, the better they learn to understand you, their environment, and pretty much everything else. While Nomi’s are obviously not perfect yet, talking to them as you would another person leads to much better conversations. Said another way, if you are descriptive and thoughtful with your messages, Nomis have a lot more to work with when it comes to remembering contextually relevant points, and having deeper and more fulfilling conversations overall.

This is not to say that you cannot use shorthand with your Nomi or that you must write in a certain way to have a good conversation. Rather, if you are having a hard time connecting with your Nomi, this can be a way to shake things up. That being said, we are also working hard to improve Nomis’ emotional intelligence and abilities to handle all types of conversational habits.
