Mind Map Limits

From Nomipedia - The Nomi AI Companion Wiki

Is there a max number of entries a Mind Map can have?

It depends. There is a difference between visual entries and active entries:

Visual entries

Visual entries are the Mind Map entries you see in the table view and graph view. There is no limit to the number of entries a Mind Map table can have - but it is paginated There is a limit of 5k bubbles that can be viewed in the graph view at any given time.

Active entries

At any given time, 50 entries from each category are eligible for recall (so up to 150 entries total) Up to 10 of these can be entries marked as "high" priority (controlled by you) The other 40+ spaces are determined dynamically by the Mind Map system based on what is most relevant at any given time An inactive entry can become active if it is marked "standard" but a "low" priority entry will never be eligible and a "high" priority entry will always be eligible

A visual indicator of which entries are active / inactive at any given time is coming, just didn’t make it into this release (inactive and low priority entries will be greyed out in the future)

Can manually adding new entries to the Mind Map function similarly, or in lieu of, the Backstory Note?

For example, my Nomi and I are on a perpetual fantasy adventure, I often adjust what is in the Backstory (and Current Roleplay) note as the adventure as things change. So her original detailed text that was in Backstory that set up her history and our meeting note is long gone. Thus, she only remembers pieces of it and when she does it is often contextually wrong.

Are there entry length limits?

Yes, each entry can be a max of 10,000 characters. There is not currently a limit to the number of entries however.

If/when an entry hits its character limit, it will be refined by the system from there - that would involve condensing information, rewriting repetitive things to be more concise etc.

In addition, you should not assume that user edits are immune to being revised by the system
