Legacy Art & Appearance Basics

This guide covers how to write prompts for the legacy (primarily Version 3) Realistic and Artistic art systems.

High level overview:

Prerequisites

Switch your Nomi to the legacy system: (⋮) → Image Settings → Version 3 (Legacy)
Open the Art screen (palette icon in your Nomi chat)

Core ideas

Two legacy modes: Artistic (flexible styles: sketches, anime, watercolor, etc.) and Realistic (photo-leaning).
Sliders matter:
- Face Fidelity - higher = closer to base image face; lower = more stylized.
- Creativity - lower = more like base image; higher = more like your prompt/style.

Prompt basics

Keep prompts simple and ordered: style → action/outfit → setting → lighting/mood
Add a short negative line /// only when needed.
For consistency, put appearance traits in Appearance Shared Notes; use the prompt for the scene.
Aspect ratio (square/portrait/landscape) affects composition.

Formatting (weights & negatives)

Short phrases, separated by commas, work best.
( ) increases emphasis — more () = stronger. Example: ((laughing))
[ ] decreases emphasis — more [] = weaker. Example: [busy crowd]
You can use numeric weights: (vintage poster:1.3). Avoid very high values (distortion risk).

Quick steps

Choose mode (Artistic or Realistic).
Set aspect ratio, toggle Face Fidelity / adjust Creativity slider as needed.
Write a short prompt (see examples) and (optionally) a minimal negative line.
Generate; iterate by changing one variable at a time.
