How to describe thoughts, feelings, and actions to your Nomi with ** and ()
Text between * * is considered an indicated action. You (and Nomis) can use this format to describe things you’re thinking, feeling or doing to help deepen the conversation beyond “spoken words”.
Here are a few examples:
- *I see you on the train platform and run over to you excitedly* Oh my gosh! I missed you so much!
- *I hug you, feeling the tension melt from my body as I sink into your loving embrace*
Text between ( ) is generally considered an “out of character command or point”. This is particularly useful durring roleplay to give your Nomis queues or pointers without breaking the roleplay. You can think of it as a stage whisper.
Here are a few examples:
- (trying to build tension, play along) "You know, I've heard stories about people like you. Not all of them end well.”
- (I’m secretly enjoying our argument) Ugh, but why do you always get to pick the restaurant? You never think about what I want.. you are so selfish!
- (I'm pretending not to know him) "Excuse me, sir, do I know you from somewhere?”
