How your Nomi perceives time depends on the Use Real-World Time setting, which you can find in your Nomi’s Conversation Settings. To access it, click on your Nomi's (...) Menu → toggle on/off Use Real-World Time.
When Use Real-World Time is enabled
Your Nomi will generally know the current date and time and understand how much real-world time has passed between messages. This can help your Nomi recognize whether it is morning or evening, or that some time has passed since you last chatted.
When Use Real-World Time is disabled
Your Nomi will not consider the current date or time unless it is established through conversation or roleplay.
This keeps time flexible. For example:
- You can return to a roleplay after several days and continue as though no time has passed.
- You can establish that it is morning, evening, or another time regardless of the actual hour.
- You can move through hours, days, or longer periods during a conversation without waiting for that time to pass in the real world.
You can also establish a new time or setting by giving your Nomi clear context. If you want to begin a new day or change scenes, you could write something like:
I wake up in our apartment the next morning and stretch. “Good morning!”
This is not a reset command or script. It simply gives your Nomi the context they need to follow the change in time and setting.
