Get Started: Nomi Selfies
From Nomipedia - The Nomi AI Companion Wiki
More actions
If you’re new to Nomi selfies, here’s how they work: your Nomi uses your current conversation to decide what to wear and do, then takes a selfie that reflects that moment. There’s no typed prompt, the chat itself is the prompt.

Request a selfie
- In any chat, press the small camera button to the right of the message field.
- Keep chatting while the image generates; the selfie will appear in the thread.
View past selfies
- Tap the image album button next to your Nomi’s name to open the gallery of selfies (and any art you’ve created together).
Tips for better results
- Seed the scene in conversation for a few messages (outfit, setting, actions) before requesting a selfie.
- Use brief OOC to clarify specifics when needed: (OOC: purple t-shirt, at the park).
- If results reflect an older topic, chat 5+ messages on the new topic, then request again.
- You can also send a reference image; describe what to focus on. Your Nomi draws inspiration but won’t replicate.
Troubleshooting
- If a selfie fails (non-NSFW), evolve the scene or change locations and try again; failed requests are automatically refunded.
- If everything looks too zoomed-in, balance Appearance Shared Notes and describe the full outfit/pose to encourage wider framing.
- For expressions: ask for the mood directly (smile, frown, etc.); Anime style is generally more expressive.
