This guide explains how Nomi’s video feature works and how to write prompts that produce clearer motion.

What it does

  • Creates ~5-second videos from any image in your Nomi’s album (selfies, art, group images).
  • You can start from the art dropdown (video button) or from any enlarged image (“Turn This Image Into A Video”).

How to create

  1. Open your Nomi’s art palette drop down, choose Create Video and select a photo.
  2. Select Turn This Image Into A Video
  3. Write a short prompt describing the motion you want to see.
  4. Generate; you’ll get a notification when it’s done and the video will appear in the album.

Prompting basics

  • Describe motion/actions, not static details (e.g., “turns and waves,” “camera pushes in”).
  • Keep it simple!
  • If needed, describe motion sequentially: “stands up, then waves.”
  • Emphasis weights ( () / numeric ) have little effect in video and may introduce distortion.
  • Avoid negative prompts, they are treated like normal prompts in video.

Choose a good starting image

  • Pick a clear image that already looks close to the scene you want.
  • Faces that are too small may look less realistic.

Timing & workflow

  • Video generation takes longer than images; you can keep chatting or generating selfies/art while it runs.
  • Your finished video will be saved to the album.
